The World War 1 based period drama directed by Sam Mendes “1917” bagged the award for the ‘best film drama.’
1917 depicted the story of two young British soldiers during World War I in the spring of 1917 who were given a mission to deliver a message.
Best Actress (Drama)
American actress Renée Zellweger bagged the award for the best actress in a film drama. Zellweger who already has numerous accolades to her name won the award for her role in “Judy”.
The movie was a biographical drama based on the life American singer and actress Judy Garland.
Best Actor (Drama)
Actor and producer Joaquin Rafael Phoenix grabbed the honors for the best actor in drama.
Joaquin was awarded for his performance in the psychological thriller Joker based on DC Comics where he played the title role.
Best Supporting Actor In A Film
Hollywood’s heartthrob Brad Pitt won the Golden Globe award for the best actor in a supporting role.
Pitt won the award for his performance in comedy-drama Once Upon a Time in Hollywood which was written and directed by Quentin Tarantino.
Best Supporting Actress In A Film
Laura Dern got the 77th Golden Globe award for the best-supporting actress in a film on Sunday.
She got the award for her portrayal of the character Nora Fanshaw in the comedy-drama Marriage Story.
Best Director (Film)
Well, it was the night for the 1917 team that grabbed the award for the best film and bought Sam Mendes honors of being awarded the best director.
