High Wind Speed And Odd-Even Pull Down Pollution By 62%

Suffering from a severe pollution spell Delhi got a breather on Monday with pollution level dipping 62%. The odd-even scheme that came into effect from Monday had its role to play in improving the situation.

The major effect was of the high wind speed. The PM2.5 levels started dropping since Monday morning, from an Air Quality Index of 575 at 8 am to 454 in just an hour. This dip continued, and AQI hit 103.6 at 7 pm, thus registering a 62 percent decline throughout the day.
