The government of India on Monday began the second phase of COVID-19 vaccination by launching the Co-WIN platform for citizens to self-register to get the COVID-19 vaccine. While anyone can register on the app/portal, the priority group, that is people above the age of 60 and people above 45 years with co-morbidities, will be administered the vaccine first.
Herein, we will show you how one can simply register themselves for the vaccine on the Co-WIN portal.
To begin with, one needs to log on to the government’s website www.cowin.gov.in > enter a valid mobile number > Click on ‘Get OTP’ button > Enter OTP and click ‘Verify’.
Once the OTP is validated, the “Registration of Vaccination” page appears > Enter details required in the “Registration of Vaccination” page.
This table shows the details that are to be entered on the “Registration of Vaccination” page.
Once you have completed the registration, the portal will show “Account Details.” Here you can add three more people for vaccination purpose by clicking on the “Add More” button on the bottom right corner of the page.
After clicking “Add More,” Enter all details of the individual and then click on the “Add” button.
In order to schedule an appoint, click on the calendar icon for Booking Vaccination Appointment > Click ‘Schedule Appointment’ > Book Appointment for Vaccination page opens > Search for Vaccination Centre of choice by State, District, Block and Pin Code from dropdown menus.
On clicking ‘Search’, the system will display the list of Vaccine centres that you can choose from. The available slots will also be displayed.
Once the ‘Book’ button is clicked, the Appointment Confirmation page is displayed > Click ‘Confirm’ after verifying the details for final confirmation on the booking.
After this, the “Appointment Successful” message will be displayed. You can download the confirmation slip for convenience.
