ICICI Bank Alert: Customers To Pay Increased Charges For Cash Withdrawal, ATM Transaction

ICICI bank customers must know the recent changes made by the ICICI bank. The ICICI bank plans to implement revisions for ATM interchange and cash transactions from August 1. Notably, these changes are applied to the domestic saving account holders.

After the rules come into effect, ICICI bank account holders will have to pay a higher price for cash withdrawals from non-bank ATMs after the first three transactions. Let’s have a look at the charges.

Cash Withdrawal Limit

As per the ICICIC bank updates, the first cash withdrawal will be free of charge from August. After that, the bank account holders are required to pay Rs 5 for every Rs 1,000 that they withdraw from the bank. Additionally, the bank has also fixed a limit of Rs 1 lakh free cash transactions every month.

Apart from this, the non-home branches do not have any charge for transactions of up to Rs 25,000 per day.

ATM Transaction

The bank notified in a notification that the ICICI bank customers can enjoy the first three transactions free of charge from non-bank ATMs across 6 metro cities including Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Hyderabad and Bangalore. Once the limit exceeds, the bank will levy a charge of Rs 20 per financial transaction. Customer holding cards with Gold, Silver, Titanium, Magnum, and Wealth variants accounts will also be affected.

Chequebook Charges

The Industrial Credit and Investment Corporation of India (ICICI) made it clear that the customers of the bank will have to pay a fee for using additional cheque books in the coming month. The updates say that the first 25 leaf chequebook for a given year will have no additional charges. After this, a charge of Rs 20 for every additional chequebook of 10 cheque leaves will be levied.

Third-Party Transaction

In respect of the third party transaction, the ICICI bank said the upper limit for deposits or withdrawals will be Rs 25,000 per day. Additionally, the bank will also charge Rs 150 per transaction. Note that no transaction is allowed above Rs 25,000 per day for third-party.

Senior Citizens’ Accounts

The senior citizens holding an account in ICICI bank will have an upper limit of Rs 25,000 transactions per day free.
