India Vs West Indies 1st T20I: Rohit One Shot Away From 400 Sixes

As India plays the 1st T20I of the 3-match series against the T20 World Champions West Indies today all eyes would be on Rohit Sharma who is close to reaching the 400 sixes mark in International cricket.

The stylish Indian opener who is also known as “hitman” for his hammering batting style would be just one big hit away from becoming the 1st Indian to hit 400 sixes in International cricket when he takes the field at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad today.


Only two players in the history of the game have achieved the feat and there would be no surprise to hear their name in this list. The Boom Boom Shahid Afridi with 476 sixes and Universe Boss Chris Gayle with 534 sixes are the two leading the charts.


Rohit has kept on his six-hitting ability in the longer format of the game and in his first series as India’s Test opener against South Africa in October this year, Rohit broke the record for most sixes hit during a Test series by hitting 19 maximums.


Rohit who is a brute force of Indian batting in limited-overs has broken many records with his performance in recent times. He became the 1st player to score 5 centuries in a single edition of World Cup this year leaving behind the record of 4 centuries set by Sri Lanka’s Kumar Sangakkara.
