Indian Railways Kick Starts ‘Thermal Screening’ In Running Train

The Indian Railways has stepped in amidst the nationwide and global fight against COVID-19. The Railways has started the process of ‘Thermal Screening‘ of the passengers. This screening would be done during the ‘run’ of the train.

The first of such screenings have begun inside trains in Thiruvananthapuram. With the help of the Kerala state government, railways is screening the passengers with thermal devices. So, far the facility was available at Airports only.

The railways has also set up a help desk to check the temperature of the passenger in New Delhi. Not only this the national carrier has also provided sanitizers near the waiting lounge on the stations. Since railways are the point of gathering of lakhs of people the spread of COVID-19 can easily trigger from there.

Taking precautions from its side the Indian railways has started rolling out measures. Recently it decided to remove the curtains from the air-conditioned coaches and decided not to provide blankets to the passengers traveling in AC coaches. So, far India has reported 3 deaths and around 130 cases of Coronavirus.
