Integrated Pensioners’ Portal: Discover the New One-Stop Pension Services Hub by the Centre

As technology advances, facilities are being modernized. This time, the Centre has launched a new project to address the improved experience of retirees. The government, in collaboration with the Bank of India, launched the Integrated Pensioners’ Portal.

What Is the Integrated Pensioners Portal?

The Integrated Pensioners’ Portal is a comprehensive digital platform aimed at improving pension processing and payment services.

The Department of Pension and Pensioners’ Welfare (DoPPW) states that the portal intends to digitize pension services. It would provide retirees with a user-friendly interface for accessing numerous pension-related services.

The portal makes pension management easier for retirees by integrating five banks’ pension processing and payment services into a single window. The portal has a Bhavishya platform and a Centralised Pension Grievances Redress and Monitoring System (CPENGRAMS).

Key Features Of Integrated Pensioners’ Portal

One of the portal’s main strengths is its accessibility. This allows retirees to easily access their monthly pension slips, verify the status of life certificates, submit Form 16, and examine statements of arrears paid. Furthermore, the Bhavishya site now integrates pension portals from major institutions like as SBI, Bank of Baroda, Punjab National Bank, and Canara Bank, making it even more convenient for retirees.

  • The Department of Pension & Pensioners’ Welfare has created an online pension sanction and payment tracking system.
  • It allows individuals and administrative bodies to follow the pension sanction and payment process online, including all activities taken before granting pension and other retirement benefits, as well as monthly pension payments after retirement.

  • It keeps retiring employees updated on the status of the pension sanction procedure via SMS/email. The technology eliminates delays in pension payments by enabling comprehensive transparency and accountability throughout the pension sanction and payment process.

Centralised Pension Grievances Redress and Monitoring

  • CPENGRAMS is an online web-enabled system that allows various Central Government Ministries, Departments, and Organizations to quickly resolve pension-related disputes.
  • This online method provides quick access for seniors and offers various facilities such as registering pension disputes, receiving reminders, checking the status of registered complaints, and submitting grievances online around the clock.
  • It was created to expedite redress and effectively track grievances, as well as provide pensioners with quick access.
  • Pensioners may also appeal if they are dissatisfied with the resolution of their claim.
