Iran Accepts To ‘Unintentionally’ Downing Ukraine Plane That Killed 176

A day after a video showing an Iran missile hitting the Ukraine plane that killed 176 had surfaced on the web, Iran has acknowledged to ‘unintentionally’ downing the same. In a statement released on Saturday morning, Iran said that the plane was mistaken for a “hostile target” after it turned toward a “sensitive military center” of the Revolutionary Guard.

Both Iran and the US troops, including ground-to-air weapons, have been put on high alert ever since the US killed Qasem Soleimani, the top commander of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards. Both Iran and Iraq have shown their rage towards the US President for killing Soleimani by warning US troops of dire consequences if they don’t move out of the gulf countries.

Meanwhile, Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani took on twitter to apologize for the human error and offered his condolences. More than Iran, the blame of the lives lost would be put on the US President Donald Trump as he, in the first place, started a series of incidents that irked Iran to retaliate.
