Is Second Wave Dying? Only 25000 Fresh Covid Cases Registered In 24 Hours, Less In 160 Days

A huge decline has been registered once again in Covid-19 cases in India. In the data released on Monday, the country has only registered 25, 072 new Coronavirus cases in the last day. India has recorded the lowest number of Coronavirus cases for the first time in 160 days during the second wave.

As of now, the percentage of active Coronavirus cases in India is only 1.03 per cent. Apart from this, the number of active cases has come down to 3, 33,924 in the last 155 days. The recovery rate has also enhanced to 97.63%. In the past 24-hour, 44,157 has been recovered successfully.

Let’s Have A Look At The Corona Testing and Vaccination

The pace of corona testing and vaccination in India has increased rapidly. So far, 50.75 crore people have been tested and more than 58 crore Corona vaccines have been administered. It can be said that the second wave of Coronavirus has been softened due to the speed up in vaccination and corona testing. The government and concerned bodies are planning to fasten the vaccination and testing in the coming days.

Since June, a continuous dip in the Covid-19 cases is seen in the country. However, Kerala alone registers more than 50 per cent of cases of the whole country. Some most affected areas in Kerala are Kannur, Kasaragod, Palakkad, and Malappuram.
