In a major blow to India, pacer Jasprit Bumrah has been ruled of the test series against South Africa starting from October 2. The pacer will warm the bench due to a minor stress fracture in his lower back. Sadly, Bumrah will now have to wait a tad bit longer to make a test debut in India.

To this day, Bumrah has been in a red-hot form in tests. The pacer has played 12 tests – all away – since his debut back in 2018 and has claimed a whopping 62 wickets. His last encounter was against West Indies, where he took 13 wickets.

After being ruled out of the team, Bumrah took on Twitter to express his disappointment on not being available to play a game he has invariably wanted to.
Moreover, Bumrah could also miss the home series against Bangladesh starting from November 3.
