Jio’s supremacy in the telecom sector might face stiff challenge. The service provider know for its cheap offers would have a face-off with a start-up. The company named “WiFi Dabba” is planning to offer 1GB internet data for as low as Re 1.
The Bengaluru based start-up aims to offer “reliable and affordable service” and fix connectivity issues in the country. Jio which bought the revolution in the industry 3 years back has helped make data rates in India cheaper than the world.
However, still many find it difficult to afford. WiFi Dabba’s offer aims to bridge the gaps for such peoples. The cost of providing and accessing the internet remains high as the third-party hardware, software and networking infrastructure are used. Add to that the cost of digging trenches to lay fiber optic.
WiFi Dabba saves on such expenses to bring out such cheap plans. The company has its own proprietary hardware, software and networking helping save vendor margins. The company would first launch its services in Bengaluru.

Based on response and demand it would be expanded across the country. A user can easily connect to WiFi Dabba signals. Just login with Mobile Number and entre OTP, said the CEO.
