Just 15 Beautiful Pictures Of The World’s Wettest Place, Mawsynram, Coz Garmi Hai

Trust me, as the weekend approaches, my lust to travel is at its peak. And this weekend is no different. But for sure, travelling, for now, is the most inappropriate thing to do (who thought one day I would be saying this). So, the best way to quench the lust of travelling, for now, is death staring at the pictures of the aesthetic locations across the world.

And today, we decided to have a look at Mawsynram in Meghalaya, which is also the world’s wettest place. Mawsynram is slowly approaching to the months when it receives maximum rainfall.

This beautiful tourist site in the “abode of clouds” provides for a delightful respite during the summers as the temperature remains pleasantly cool all through the day. Currently, it’s somewhere around 19 degrees Celcius which is pretty decent for a picnic outing.

For the unaware, #Mawsynram holds a Guinness World Record for the highest average annual rainfall of about 11,873 millimetres during monsoon.

According to the Guinness Book of World Records, Mawsynram received 26,000 millimetres (1,000 in) of rainfall in 1985. It’s likely one place that you must surely visit once in a lifetime for the experience will be out of the world.
