Former Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, who has been an integral part of the Indian National Congress for the past 18 years, submitted his resignation to the INC President Sonia Gandhi on Tueday.
And if reports are anything to go by, Jyotiraditya Scindia will join the BJP today.
Post his resignation, as many as 19 other MLAs have also offered their resignation.
The surprise resignation (submitted after Scindia met PM Modi and Home Minister Shah the other day) has brought the Kamal Nath government in Madhya Pradesh on the brink of losing the majority.
In the resignation letter, Scindia talked about how he would be unable to fulfill the dream of serving the country if he continues with Congress.
As the news broke in, twitter got desi with their suggestion about the incident as the same sparked a meme fest.

As of now, both BJP and the Congress have moved their MLAs out of Madhya Pradesh for safe-keeping. BJP has accommodated its MLAs at the five-star ITC Grand Bharat in Gurgaon, while the Congress MLAs have been flown to Jaipur in Rajasthan where Congress enjoys power.
