Indian opener Kannaur Lokesh Rahul has his sports hernia surgery done in Germany. He will not be seen playing for team India for a couple of months. Rahul is the captain of Lucknow Super Giants in the Indian Premier League and is the vice-captain of the national team in all formats. Rahul had to step out of the T20I series against South Africa in June 2022 due to injury. The cricketer had health issues related to the lower abdomen for a long time including groin strains and hamstring injuries.

Rahul took to Twitter to inform his fans about his successful surgery. He tweeted, “It’s been a tough couple of weeks but the surgery was successful. I’m healing and recovering well. My road to recovery has begun. Thank you for your messages and prayers. See you soon.”The cricketer also posted a picture of him wearing a white t-shirt.
