The city of joy is all set to host the player auction for next year’s IPL. IPL player auction would be held on December 19 in Kolkata, informed the governing council after there meeting today.
This would be the first time that the city would be hosting a player auction for IPL. Unlike earlier auctions which used to be a 2-3 day affair the one in Kolkata next month would be a one-day event.

Every franchise will have an additional purse of ₹ 3 crore in their kitties from the last auction this time around.
