This special occasion lasts for a single day and night in most regions. Festival starts in the evening of Purnima (The Full Moon) in the Falgun month. In the evening when the period of festival starts is called Holika Dhahan, and the following next is called Holi when people play with colours. On this day you will find painted faces of every single person with such vibrant colours.
