However, LIC has informed that only those policyholders will be able to avail of services on instant messenger who have their policies registered online. So, the customers who want the same benefits must link or register their policy on LIC’s website.
How To Register LIC Policy Online?
- First, visit the official website of LIC. www.licindia.in
- Now tap on ‘Customer Portal’.
- If you are a new user, click on ‘New User’, and fill in all the asked details.
- After creating a user id and password, submit all your details.
- Then, log in to the portal as you are registered now.
- Now, access ‘Basic Services’ and tap on ‘Add Services.
- Lastly, fill in all your LIC details asked by the portal and after submitting your policy will be registered.

How To LIC WhatsApp Services?
- First, you will have to save the official number of LIC for WhatsApp on your device, which is 8976862090.
- Now, send ‘Hi’.
- Then, the LIC chatbot will reply to you by sending a list of numbered options.
- You can choose your preferred option and send it.
- Next, the LIC will revert you back with the information you asked for.
