A unique kind of incident took place in ‘God’s own country’ Kerala. The incident has come to light from Chalakudy in Kerala’s Thrissur district. The residents of ‘Chalakuddy’ found that water laced with alcohol was flowing through their taps.
As per reports 18 families in the district found that their water smells and tastes like liquor. Going into the root of it was found that liquor seized from a nearby bar about 6 years ago, was recently been disposed off by the officials.
Around 6,000 liters of liquor were disposed off by digging a huge pit. The pit was rather close to the well on the flat premises. The alcohol from it appears to have seeped through the soil and made its way to the water.
