On Friday, Maharashtra lockdown has now extended till June 15, but the restrictions have been eased in some districts, says Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray. He also said that Covid curbs have eased in few districts where the case positivity rate is less than ten percent and oxygen bed occupancy is less than 40 percent. In case, if some districts notice an upsurge in Covid cases, lockdown will be imposed.
Thackeray stated in a press conference, “Many are threatening to agitate if opening up is not announced. I want to request you to have patience. We have not imposed a very strict lockdown. I am not enjoying keeping these restrictions. But it is the need of the hour.”
