The ignorance and irresponsible behavior of people amidst lockdown is forcing some serious action. The government of the states and the central government trying their best to restrict the spread of COVID-19. Doing so big measures flew in on Monday.
Maharashtra which is the worst hit by COVID-19 in India announced ‘statewide curfew’ on Monday. The decision as per CM Uddhav Thackeray was taken as people were not listening. This came after Punjab announced ‘curfew’ with no restrictions early in the day.
CM Thackrey announced that they would also be sealing the ‘district borders’ after shutting the borders of the state. The idea is to prevent the districts which are unaffected so far. Inter-district transportation is also restricted.
However, essential services would function and their transportation would be allowed but with restrictions. Maharashtra has so far reported the highest number of cases at around 89. The number of deaths in the state stands at 2.
