Maharashtra Coronavirus Cases: Maharashtra Records 15,000 Covid Cases Daily In The Last Two Days

Mumbai: As per the Health Department, Maharashtra has recorded its year’s highest one-day spike of 16,620 new coronavirus cases on Sunday.  With this, Maharashtra overall Covid-19 cases are 23, 14, 413 with 52, 861 deaths.

In the last two days, the case count for Covid-19 is more than 15, 000 and on Sunday, it crossed 16, 000 mark, as 8500 patients were discharged on Sunday and thus the recovery count for the state is 21,34,072.

As per the Health Department, the COVID-19 recovery rate in Maharashtra is 92.21 per cent, whereas the fatality rate is 2.28 per cent. Still, 1, 26,231 active cases in the state are at the present. Moreover, more than 5 lakh people are home quarantined and 5000 are institutional quarantined. Total 1, 08,381 people were tested on Sunday and now the total Covid-19 test count is raised to 1,75,16,885.

No death case is found in the Mumbai division, Kalyan Dombivali, Thane city, Bhiwandi, Ulhasnagar, Palghar, Mira Bhayandar, Vasai-Virar, Panvel, Raigad, due to coronavirus in the last 24 hours, as per the report.

Mumbai division reported the highest 3,676 cases in Maharashtra followed by Nashik division 2,776, Nagpur division 1,860, Pune division 3,609, Aurangabad division 1,289, Latur division 914, and Kolhapur division 106.
