Bank Holidays In May 2022

The month of May has arrived with lots of special occasions including Eid-UL-Fitr, Bhagavan Shree Parshuram Jayanti, Buddha Purnima, the Birthday of Rabindranath Tagore, etc. So, there will be a total of 11 bank holidays during this month of which the bank employees will take advantage. Weekend holidays are also included in these 11 resting days, as per the list of Holidays released by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI).

The Central Bank has categorised the list of holidays as “Holiday under Negotiable Instruments Act”, “Holiday under Negotiable Instruments Act and Real-Time Gross Settlement Holiday” and “Banks’ Closing of Accounts.” Out the list, some holidays can vary from state to state and others are offered nationally.

Customers can note that Internet Banking and Mobile Banking services will still be active. And the 11 days list of holidays includes four festivals, Sundays, Second and Fourth Saturday.
