EdTech start-up Scaler Academy has allocated INR 1 Crore to upgrade the women in the field of technology through its newly launched program. This announcement takes place on International Women’s Day 2021.

Here, the candidates will get one-on-one sessions with industry-based professionals. The program is comprised of concepts, such as data structures, programming constructs, system design, and algorithms. Scalar Announces 1 Crore for 1000 Women

In the past decades, the world has grown rapidly and progressed largely, but still, no country has reached gender equality. Keeping this in mind, Scaler Academy announces the capital of 1 crore that will be used to fund merit-based scholarships to 1000 women. Interested women can now enrol at Scaler Academy. The program mainly concentrates on enhancing the participation of women in the technology domain of India. Selected candidates will undertake a 9-month course with classes usually run by leading technologists from reputed companies like Facebook, Hotstar, and Media.net.

Particularly, talking about India, women just form about 26% of India’s tech force. Thus, Scaler aims to increase this count to 50% in the coming ten years.

The Co-founder of Scaler, Abhimanyu Saxena, says that the Scaler programs are tailored to meet women’s need and create a diverse tech workforce in 2021. With the help of merit-based scholarships, Scaler has tried to easily access the program. Moreover, it has introduced a feature called ‘Course Pause’ under which women are allowed to pause their program anytime and then join back whenever they feel comfortable. This feature is free.
