In what we would term as the kindest of gestures, a man from the off coast of Ireland caught an 8.5-foot gigantic Tuna to only leave it back into the depths of the waters.

Interestingly, Dave Edwards and his team consisting of Dareen O’Sullivan and Henk Veldman were fishing as a part of the ongoing catch and release program wherein, they would catch, tag and then release the fish into the waters to establish population numbers for the fish in the Atlantic.

As per Irish Mirror, the fish that Dave caught was the largest Tuna to be caught in Irish waters this year and is worth 3 million euros in Japan. West Cork Charters shared the pictures of the Tuna on the Facebook page.
The fish weighed 270 kgs.
