In an uncommon kind of incident from Pune, Maharashtra a man was made to marry his girlfriend who was admitted to the ICU after she attempted suicide on being refused to marry by the lover.

Soon after the marriage, the man named Suraj Nalavade flew away from the spot. The women who tried to commit the suicide alleged that the man refused to marry her, saying that she belongs to a lower caste.
The woman filed a rape case against Suraj when she came to know that he has managed to escape after the wedding ceremony in the hospital. FIR has been filed against Suraj Nalwade, under IPC section 376 (punishment for rape) by the police.

The women who consumed poison to end her life said in her statement to the police that Suraj had forced her to have a physical relationship with him. However, when she proposed him for marriage he allegedly refused, saying that she belongs to a lower caste.

The investigation has been initiated in the matter and the police is looking for Suraj to get to know his side of the story.
