A 45-year-old man has been detained for accidentally bringing down two pillars of the UNESCO World Heritage Site Hampi. Nagaraj, has been charged under the sections of the Ancient Monuments and Archaeological Sites and Remains Act 1958. The team of Archaeological Survey of India said that perpetual rain for the last three days made the ground holding the pillar malleable. Meanwhile, Nagaraj has been sent to judicial custody for 15 days.
