Mirabai Chanu finishes respectable 4th (49 kg) in World Weightlifting Championships.
She lifted her Personal Best in both Snatch (87 kg) and Clean & Jerk (114 kg); total of 201 kg which is New National record.
She had won Bronze in 2017 edition

The 2018 Commonwealth Games weight lifting champion Mirabai Chanu missed on a medal at World Weightlifting Championship underway in Thailand. Bettering her own national record, Chanu finished 4th in women’s 49 kg event. She lifted a total of 201kg with 87kg in snatch followed by 114kg in clean and jerk. Doing so, she eclipsed her previous best of 199 kg recorded in April this year. China’s Jiang Huihua won the Gold medal.
