Renowned director Anubhav Sinha known for movies like Ra. One, Mulk, Article 15, and Thappad has resigned from Bollywood. The director took to his Twitter account to announce that he is resigning from the Bollywood. He then went on to change the name of his Twitter profile Anubhav Sinha (Not Bollywood).”
“ENOUGH!!! I hereby resign from Bollywood. Whatever the fuck that means“, he tweeted. “Bollywood was, Hindi films will” were his tweet following the one announcing his resignation. Soon after his tweet, the director created a buzz on social media and the Bollywood and netizens were talking about this.
Filmmakers Sudhir Mishra and Hansal Mehta reacted to the resignation call amongst the first. ” Bollywood chodo. Let’s go towards Indian Cinema, Indian Storytelling“, tweeted Sudhir Mishra. Responding to Mr. Mishra Hansal Mehta tweeted, “Chhor Diya (have quit). It never existed in the first place”. It is not known what made Anubhav make the call for resignation. He however not said that he would stop making movies. Maybe he is trying to say that he moving towards the artistic cinema from the commercial Bollywood.
