Indians Troll Nepal With Hilarious Memes After PM, KP Sharma Oli, Claims ‘Lord Ram Is Nepali’

In what came as a bizarre claim from Nepal, the Prime Minister of Nepal, KP Sharma Oli, on Monday said that the real Ayodhya lied in his country (Nepal) and not in India.

“Lord Ram is Nepali, not Indian,” news agency ANI quoted Nepali media as saying.

Mr. Oli while speaking at an event on the birth anniversary of Nepalese poet Bhanubhakta siad that Ram’s birthplace is located near the Balmiki Ashram in Thori in southern Nepal, and not in UP’s Ayodhya.

For the unaware, Bhanubhakta is a poet who was born in 1814 in Tanhu of western Nepal and is credited for translating Valmiki’s Ramayan into the Nepali language. He died in 1868.

The Prime Minsiter comments, thereafter, drew a flake jokes for yet again drawing baseless claims. Have a look:

PM Oli goes on to add that “we still believe we gave Sita to Prince Ram but we gave the prince too, from Ayodhya, not India. Ayodhya is a village a little west (of) Birgunj (a district in Nepal that is around 135 km from capital Kathmandu)“.

For the unknown, the birthplace of Sita is disputed. India views the Sita Kund pilgrimage site, which is located in present-day Sitamarhi district, Bihar, India as Sita’s birthplace. Apart from Sitamarhi, Janakpur which is located in present-day Province No. 2, Nepal, is also described as Sita’s birthplace.
