Now the WHO has announced that omicron is not the last variant of Covid-19. It is mutating again and again creating its new variants. Our world has suffered from covid-19 for the last 2 years. And now when the third year has just started we are seeing the new variants of coronavirus. We faced the fury of atleast 4 major Covid variants in the last 2 years. This virus has taken the lives of millions of people around the world. Now, the scientists are suggesting that there can be more variants of Covid-19 in the future.

Here are the possible scenarios according to the behavior of the new virus:

  • In the first scenario, it is possible that the Covid-19 virus will spread on the basis of new births. This condition will be very much hopeful in which the virus will present but with vaccinations. The virus will convert its path like measles and lifelong vaccination protection will be available. In this scenario, the virus will no longer be a major threat to the world.
  • In the second scenario, the virus will take the path of RSV (Respiratory Syncytial Virus). RSV mostly infects infants and in most cases, the symptoms will be mild. RSV is the main reason for infants hospitalizations. Just like that, the Covid-19 will infect the infants and the first 2 years of their life will be crucial.
  • In the third case scenario, Covid-19 will become the seasonal infectious virus. Just like the influenza A virus. This will cause the virus to spread and mutate rapidly and become immune to vaccines. It will spread mostly to and by adults and in some cases, it can cause serious health problems. Hope this will not be the case where every human will be at risk.
  • In the fourth scenario, we can witness covid-19 becoming more like the Influenza B virus. In this case, because of the slower rate of mutation, it will affect the children more. As they are in the early life stage, their immunity power is low compared to a full-grown adult.
