No Need To Visit Aadhaar Card Centre

The citizens no longer need to visit the Aadhaar card centre to make Aadhaar cards. Parents usually have difficulty standing in long lines to avail their children’s Aadhaar. Now with the availability of a new facility started by the government, they don’t need to visit the Aadhaar Kendra. Their children will get their unique identification ID at home. This privilege is only made possible by the postal department of India.

What’s The New Service Is?

From now on the postmen in India will go door to door to create Aadhaar Cards for children. The postal department is providing training sessions to many postmen for making Aadhaar Cards. Earlier to avail, this facility parents need to go to the Kendra, post offices and banks. Now the trained postmen will be visiting at every doorstep to give children their unique identification ID.

Plus on a complimentary basis, the postmen will also link mobile numbers to Aadhaar Cards. However, the parents have to pay a small charge of Rs.50 to avail of the service.

The government has announced the facility to make Aadhaar Cards even for children who are younger than 5 years. These ID Cards will be known as ‘Blue Aadhaar Card’. This service is made possible by linking the cards of parents with children. To make the ID cards of children less than 5 years of age, biometrics and eye scans are not required.

  • Parents should have their Aadhaar Cards
  • A birth Certificate of children is required

Few other New Rules

There are a few other rules that are created:

  • You can make online appointments to correct mistakes in your Aadhaar
  • An Aadhaar card is not necessary for covid vaccines.
  • You can order PVC Aadhaar’s for your family with one number.
  • You can link your Aadhaar to your IRCTC account to book 12 tickets monthly.
