In last Telegram Update company rolled out features like interactive emojis and advanced navigation to access content. But it has not stopped and constantly working to roll out more exciting features. In latest v8.6 update Telegram has launched new download manager and support for third party live streaming apps in groups and channels.
You can use apps like OBS and XSplit to add multi-screen layouts and overlays to turn groups and channels into live TV station for group members and subscribers.
How To Start Live Stream?
To start live streaming with a third party app you need to first start group or live stream and then tap on ‘Start With’ button to get a server URL and key.
After that you can copy server URL and key and paste it on desired broadcasting tool and start live streaming.
You need to ask your subscribers to update their Telegram app to watch your live streaming.
What Is New In Download Manager?
Telegram Update has introduced a new Download tab to help you manage your downloads. This means that if you download something from a group or channel you will be able to see ‘Downloading Icon’ in search bar of home screen.
Like any other browser if you will tap on this icon then it will take you to a dedicated Downloads tab. This tab will show both previously downloaded and currently downloading files.
If you are downloading multiple files then you can choose to raise priority of download of one file by long pressing. You can also clear Downloads tab and remove your previous downloads.
Share Your Profile Without Sharing Mobile Number
You can now create customized t.me/username links if you want to share your Telegram profile without sharing your Telegram numbers. If you are not comfortable with sharing your username then you can also create t.me/mobile number in international format. Feature will work if you enable someone to find you with mobile number in Privacy Setting.
Semi Transparent UI For Android & Fresh Attachment Menu For iOS
Attachment Menu for iOS will now be similar to that of Android which means that you will have in-app camera option within attachment page. It will help you to to access photos, files, contact, and location-sharing options.
UI for Android will look more sharp as it will be semi transparent, this feature was already present for iOS users. Users will now see their chats and media shine through headers and footers on various pages while the dark mode is on.
