New Zealand Passes “Zero Carbon” Bill To Eliminate Carbon Emission By 2050

At a time when the world is battling with the challenges posed by climate change and carbon emission, New Zealand has set its path right for a sustainable future. The country has adopted “Zero Carbon” bill to cut carbon emission to zero by 2050.

New Zealand PM Jacinda Ardern made the announcement after the bill was passed by the lawmakers. The bill makes the reduction of greenhouse gases legally binding objective to keep global warming below a rise of 1.5 degrees Celsius as forecasted aimed at the Paris Climate deal.
