After the third-time cancellation of Nirbhaya’s convicts hanging now, it looks that a final date would be out. President Ram Nath Kovind on Wednesday rejected the request for mercy by Pawan Gupta.
Since Pawan had filed a mercy petition the hanging was withheld on the eve of the scheduled date of 3rd March. By now the convicts of the Nirbhaya gangrape case have exhausted all the legal methods. They were using the loopholes in the law that could have saved them from hanging.

Usually, 14 days are given after the rejection of the mercy plea. However, since the execution of the convicts is pending since the 22nd January court would take a final call. Since the final convicts plea is rejected there are high chances that the new date of hanging would be full and final.
