No Changes In The Schedule Of NEET-UG, CUET And JEE Mains

All the competitive entrance exams including NEET-UG ,JEE-mains, CUET organized by the National Testing Agency (NTA) in July and August 2022 will be conducted as per the previous schedule without a change in the dates.

These three prominent entrance exams are to be conducted by the NTA.CUET is the Common University Entrance Test for undergraduates, NEET-UG is National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test for admissions in Medical courses and JEE is the Joint Entrance Exam for engineering courses. On the other hand, the aspirants of these exams have been asking to reschedule the exam and to extend the dates as they have got less time for preparation. They have also been citing the reason being the late academic counseling of academic sessions for the NEET-UG 2021 batch.

Dates Announced By NTA

The NTA has recently announced the dates for various exams.

  • CUET-UG will be conducted between July 15, 2022, to August 10, 2022, without approximately 10 lakhs aspirants.
  • NEET-UG will be conducted on July 17, 2022.18.72 lakhs have registered for the same.
  • JEE-MAINS will be conducted from July 21, 2022, to July 30, 2022.

No Reason To Postpone Exams

Over the past two years, many competitions and entrances were rescheduled frequently due to the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic. This time it was expected by some aspirants that exams will be postponed but there is no such case. The senior officials from the Ministry of Education have made it clear that there is no suitable reason for postponing the exams as it affects the whole academic calendar. 

Aspirants Raising Voice Through Social Media

Aspirants of NEET-UG, JEE-Mains, and CUET have been demanding and urging the education ministry to reschedule the exams.” Postpone Neet” has been widely trending on social media for months.“Sir please consider our request to postpone cuet (ug) 2022 ..we completed our 12th boards just a few days back. we need to cover many topics that were deleted for boards , general test and language. We need time for preparation. It’s our humble request.”, says a tweet from a CUET aspirant.

Education Ministry Advices Students

The Education ministry has advised students to stay away from rumors regarding the exams. As per an official from the department of education, “Exams are on schedule. The last two academic sessions were already distrusted for various reasons, pandemic being the primary. We are trying to bring that on track and that can happen only when we conduct the exams on time. Students should not get misguided by any rumors or claims by private coaching institutes of any postponement.”
