Noida Police Announced ₹25,000 For Info About Politician Shrikant Tyagi

The lawyer of Self-proclaimed BJP leader Shrikant Tyagi, amid an ongoing manhunt by Noida Police to arrest him for assaulting a woman in his society complex, has filed a surrender application in Surajpur court in Greater Noida.

Shrikant Tyagi, claiming to be the “national executive member of the BJP’s Kisan Morcha and national co-coordinator of its Yuva Samiti ”, was in a recent viral video seen abusing a woman in Noida Sector 93’s Grand Omaxe society. He is absconding now as the video of him has gone viral. However, BJP has provided clarification and has rejected all his claims of being associated with the party.

“While a Rs 25,000 reward has been announced for information on the absconding self-proclaimed politician, Noida Police is also reportedly coordinating with other police forces to nab him. As per available information, 12 teams have been formed to trace Shrikant Tyagi who has been on the run since the video of him abusing a woman at Noida’s Grand Omaxe society went viral,” as mentioned by News18.

As per the sources, 50 of his premises have been raided by the Police to find him.

Ranvijay Singh, Deputy Commissioner of Police, said on Saturday, “We had responded immediately after the episode came to light and an FIR has been lodged accordingly. Today [Saturday], during a further investigation into the matter, four close associates of Shrikant Tyagi were detained for questioning”.

Further added, “The police team that went to the spot found three vehicles of Tyagi there. Two of them were found violating the Motor Vehicle Act and were impounded. The third vehicle, a Toyota Fortuner, had the official symbol of the Uttar Pradesh government on it but in violation of rules.”
