In a good news for Indian Railways passengers, now commuters will have more number of Tatkal tickets available to sort those last-minute bookings. This comes after the Indian Railways said that it has removed illegal software’ that some agents used to block tatkal tickets and then used to sell them at higher prices.
Arun Kumar, Director General, Railway Protection Force (RPF) said with that being done, now people will have more tatkal tickets available to help them with there last minute bookings.
As per Indian Railways, the illegal software like ‘ANMS’, ‘MAC’ were bypassing normal booking steps like ‘captcha’ and ‘OTP’ to book tickets faster than a normal passenger can.
The software had reduced an agent’s booking timing to 1:48 minutes than the normal 2:55 minutes. The officials have said no more such illegal tools are active currently and hopefully will not be able to work in the future.
The railways also have arrested the agents involved in the act who use to generate as much as 50-100 crore money for selling such tickets.
