With the recent updates, the platform has added a new ability that enables users to send short 60-sec video messages to every contact. The short video message will appear the same as the text messages. Users can use this ability to send important messages or have funny conversations with friends.

60 sec short video messages will be end to end encrypted. The feature is already being sent to several users and will soon be available globally to every device.

The CEO of Meta, Mark Zuckerberg himself revealed the new update via Facebook post. He took the help of the same feature and used a short video to explain the whole process. Users learned how this ability works on WhatsApp live.

As it looked, the short video message ability is the same as sending a voice message on WhatsApp in real-time. The option to record video messages will be placed next to the text box, after tapping on which you can create 60 secs short videos.

With the help of its official blog, WhatsApp notified about the new update. “The video messages can be used to record birthday messages, sharing good news or any information with a personalised touch. One can access the feature by clicking the icon next to the text box. The videos will play without sound when someone opens a message by default. To turn on the sound, one needs to tap on the video again,” mentioned gadgets360.com.

Another point to note is that WhatsApp offers the option to send pictures or videos. This new ability from WhatsApp now allows sending videos quicker than ever. And in terms of security, these messages are end to end encrypted.
