Now Use Same WhatsApp Account on Multiple Phones With New Update

WhatsApp has just announced a major update that could be said as one of the most convenient features for both Android and iOS powered devices. The instant messenger on users’ demand has now launched the special ability to use one WhatsApp account on multiple devices. Till now users were able to use one WhatsApp acc. across desktops and laptops. But the convenience has now been unlocked with the latest released update.

Now users can switch between devices using the same WhatsApp account and resume their chats where they left off. This feature will be highly useful for businesses also. For instance, if you have a business, then even one of your employees can also respond to the customers using the WhatsApp business account as yours on his or her device.

“Last year, we introduced the ability for users globally to message seamlessly across all their devices, while maintaining the same level of privacy and security. Today, we’re improving our multi-device offering further by introducing the ability to use the same WhatsApp account on multiple phones,” said WhatsApp.

“In addition to this, the Meta-owned company also confirmed that it will also add an alternative and more accessible way to link to companion devices, but this will be released over the coming weeks,” mentioned India today.

How to Use One WhatsApp Account on Different Devices After the Update?

The update is very similar to that of how you currently sync WhatsApp web across web browsers, tablets and laptops.

“The multi-device sharing feature would be available on WhatsApp’s main page > settings section > Linked devices. You can then simply tap on Link a device and follow the instructions on the screen to enable the feature.”

Here are the Steps to Get the QR Code to Scan:

  • First launch WhatsApp app.
  • Then click on ‘More Options’ and ‘Linked Devices’
  • Tap to Link a device
  • Now unlock your first device
  • Scan the QR code and the devices will be linked.
  • Your WhatsApp account will now be used across both devices in sync.
