The much-hyped “fart contest” failed to produce what is the most crucial element for any competition, participants.
Among the 200 people who registered for the competition, only three of them showed up to compete and end India’s hunt for its first “Pad-shah”.
Due to a lack of participants, and their failed attempt at farting, the organizers decided to confer the three participants. Among the 3, Vishnu Heda from the host city took home a prize of Rs. 2,500 and a fragrant hamper for literally “doing nothing”.
Yatin Sangoi, the organizer of WTF (What The Fart!) the contest, didn’t seem disappointed with lack of attendance as he recalls that how people used to call him “2 in the night” and “6 in the morning” to laugh at him. And how the contest has become a point of discussion in the past few weeks.
Another participant, Sushil Jain, who travelled an empty stomach from Bholardi, all prepared, couldn’t produce results as he became conscious with a number of cameras pointed at him. He gave three attempts, bur failed for good.
