Pakistani ‘Twitter Handles’ Involved In Creating Discontent During ‘Delhi Riots’: Reports

India’s notorious neighbor ‘Pakistan‘ had its hand fueling the violence during last month’s riots in Delhi. A report from Hindustan Times has revealed the fact. As per the reports around 200 Twitter handles were used to provoke Indian Muslims and spark discontent against the police.

The source of the Hindustan Times report is an official dossier compiled by Indian security agencies. Hashtags such as #ShameonDelhiPolice, #DelhiPoliceTruth, and #DelhiPoliceMurders, among others were promoted from these accounts. The dossier lists around 70 handles tweeting his hashtags. These handles were from Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Karachi, Lahore etc. Between February 25 and March 3 that is even days after the riots, these hashtags were trending.

The accounts were created at the behest of the Pakistani deep state with the purpose of creating major communal disturbance in India. Detailed investigations conducted by Indian agencies have revealed this as per dossier. Interestingly these handles were also in touch with some handles created in India.

As per the dossier, it was planned to show that the Delhi Police unfairly targeted Muslims during the communal violence. They further wanted to spread the violence to other parts of the country Around 53 people were killed in the deadly riots that broke out in North-East Delhi. The riots led to mass destruction in the regions forcing people to go in relief camps.
