As the super cyclone has Amphan started to make fast in roads, its effect has started to being felt. Fast-flowing winds and rains have already hit the coasts of Orissa where the lightning is going on since yesterday night. The cyclone which ie expected to cause landfall around 4:00 P.M.
As per the Metrological Department, the cyclone would cross West Bengal-Bangladesh coast between Digha and Hatiya close to Sunderbans. The expected wind speed would be 155-165 kmph gusting to 185 mph. While the state of Odisha evacuated around 3 lakh people the effect of the cyclone would also be felt in states like Jharkhand.
