Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Saturday, shared a video of him collecting garbage at a beach in Mahabalipuram during his morning walk. “Let us ensure our public places are clean and tidy!” he wrote while sharing the video on Twitter.

Plogging at a beach in Mamallapuram this morning. It lasted for over 30 minutes.

Also handed over my ‘collection’ to Jeyaraj, who is a part of the hotel staff.

PM Modi is in Mahabalipuram for an informal summit with Chinese President Xi Jinping who arrived in India yesterday.

Mamallapuram is one of the most beautiful places in India, full of vibrancy. It is linked to commerce, spirituality and is now a popular tourism centre.

Ever since Xi has arrived in India, PM Modi has been sharing pictures of him and the Chinese President from iconic attractions in Mamallapuram.

Moreover, PM Modi has also gifted a three-feet Thanjavur painting of Hindu goddess Saraswati and a Nachiarkoil lamp to Chinese President Xi Jinping The lamp is made in Tamil Nadu’s Nachiarkoil town by the local community known as Panthers.
