With the web-series culture growing rapidly in India, some fantastic actors have popped-out and established the stardom in their own way.
And why not?
They act in a way that is totally relatable for mango people like you and me. They look natural, act natural and there’s no overdose of melodramatic shizz like you see in tele-soaps.
Moreover, the series pick everyday topics that makes you go ROFL just because you had been in those situations before.
The iconic dialogues and our everyday ‘helping verbs’ (pun intended) add up the right amount of spice and you enjoy to the core. There’s no doubt, that there is an army of fine web-series actors who act way better than some of the current Bollywood stars. (No kidding!)
Check out the list of these super awesome web-series actors who have successfully made us crack up with their hilarious acting skills-
1. Sumeet Vyas
This amazingly talented and “COOOL” actor hails from Jodhpur, Rajasthan. He started off his career in the year 2009 and rose to the limelight with the series Permanent Roommates, TVF Tripling and now in ‘Veere Di Wedding’.
Be it the sweetheart ‘Mikesh Chaudhary’ or the divorced ‘Chandan’, this actor has definitely proved one thing, that he is versatile. Which is why, whenever he is seen on screen, he steals the show. And for the same reason, he has secured a strong hold on the audience as well.
I bet you didn’t know that he also co-wrote the web-series ‘Tripling’ and has written the Y-Films web series “Bang Baaja Baaraat”. (Told you!)
2. Amol Parashar – Chitvan
This wickedly talented actor from Delhi rose to the top with his iconic role in TVF Tripling. The laid-back attitude combined with the getting stoned culture made him instantly likable.
Moreover, he took it to a whole new level with his song ‘Mada Faka’ (It is still one of my favorite tracks btw). But he hasn’t just acted in series, his work in the films- Traffic’ or ‘Babloo Happy Hai’ too has been strongly appreciated by critics.
If we talk about his web-series career, his dialogue ‘Baba, you are beautiful’ will probably be one of his best dialogues. He is currently working on a TV series ‘Gabru: Hip Hop Ke Shehzaade’.
3. Maanvi Gagroo- Chanchal
Born in Delhi, this bubbly, chilled-out actor has definitely left her mark on the audience with her straightforward acting skills. You might not know but she has debuted with a Disney TV series, Dhoom Machao Dhoom (DMD), in 2007.

And after her appearance in ‘TVF Tripling’ as Chanchal, the middle child among three siblings, this awesome actor instantly won hearts with her acting skills. Right now she is all geared up for a cine play titled ‘Guy in the Sky’.
4. Nidhi Bisht
This talented actor, comedian, writer and casting director has been in the TV industry for several years now.
Making an appearance in various web-series like- ‘Chai Sutta Chronicles’, ‘Maa Ke Hath Ki Cigarette’, she has broken the stereotype. It might come as a shock to you, but she faced a lot of rejections for not having an oval or a heart-shaped face.
But thankfully, she overcame from all of that and today stands strong as a successful core team member of TVF play production. She is uber-cool and her acting skills can be clearly seen in the web-series she had acted in so far.
You would never guess that she is a law graduate and also practiced law for a year or so before trying her luck in Mumbai. She is big Bollywood buff and got her big break in the movie ‘Phillauri’ that starred – Anushka and Dijilt.
5. Nidhi Singh- Tanya
The ‘Every Delhi Girl in the World’ girl- Nidhi hails from Ahmedabad. The acting bug caught her at an early age and she moved to Mumbai at a very young age of 17.
Her role as Tanya in the widely-loved web series Permanent Roommates is something you talk about even today. She has also worked as an assistant director and has grown from a web-series actor to a full-time Bollywood actor now.
She has completed two movies.
One is a posh romantic comedy in which she is starring alongside Saqib Saleem and Taapsee Pannu. The second one is a rustic dark comedy, starring Arjun Mathur and Manav Vij.
6. Saba Azad – DINGO
This Delhi-born actress, theater director, and musician has already given voice to songs like- “Dhak Dhak Karne Laga” and “Dil Ki Toh Lag Gayi”. But when this cute actor appeared as ‘DINGO’ in a web-series called ‘Ladies Room’, she became even likable.
With a hilarious lingo and even more hilarious acting, this actor absolutely nailed her character. For those of you who have seen this web-series, you know you can’t forget the epic bathroom scenes.
In addition to this, she has already worked in commercials for Cadbury, Ponds, Maggi, Tata Sky, Google, Kit Kat, Vodafone, Sunsilk, Nescafe, Airtel as well as print campaigns for Clean & Clear, Westside and Amway and many more.

He moved to Mumbai after completing his high-school. After a lot of struggle, he has now gained the reputation of a great comedian. He appeared in Permanent Roommates (2014) and Barely Speaking with Arnub (2014) as well.
No one can forget his all-time favorite car ‘Shabnam’ and his dialogue- ‘Ummm…Shabnam ka Kaan tod diya, daddy marenge!’
He is also an internet icon who did an amazing job of mimicking Raghu from Roadies. Presently, he works as a creative director at The Viral Fever (TVF), a Mumbai-based web entertainment network.
8. Biswapati Sarkar as Arnub
This genius, one-of-a-kind was born in Rourkela. He is an alumnus of IIT Kharagpur. (OMFG, but yes he indeed is an IIT pass -out) He tried his first hand on script writing and later became a very crucial part of TVF.
This guy is a gem. I think he has it in his blood. He first emerged on the web series scene with TVF’s Chai Sutta Chronicles, and totally blew everyone’s mind with his act of Arnub.
Trolling Shahrukh and Pareeniti, that too on their faces, only this guy could pull it off. And Hey, did you know his online talk-show series ‘Barely Speaking with Arnub’ has received more than 7.5 million.
9. Pranay Manchanda as Mohammad Haris
This cute and young actor is born and raised in Delhi. He is trained in Classical Acting from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA).
His adorable character of Md. Haris in two seasons of the popular web-series ‘Baked’ just stole everyone’s heart. Almost everyone could relate to this middle-class guy who hails from a small town and gets baffled by the DU culture.
His response- “Wo dukandar k pass chutta Nai tha na toh,”( when a condom falls from his front shirt pocket ) is downright EPIC.
Btw, he has also played the role of Sarthak in the second season of the web-series ‘Aam Aadmi Family’. Apart from acting, he has also written and directed plays for his own theatre company, Free Parking Entertainment.
10. Manuj Sharma as Bunty
This hilarious and cool dude has its origin from Muzaffarnagar. He has already appeared on the big screen with the film “Bhootnath Returns” but he was loved for the way he acted as ‘Bunty’ in the TVF series.
You can remember his iconic scenes from the series where he catches his father and his friends secretly watching Game of Thrones. Also, his casual acting in the web-series ‘First Drink with Son’ is something you can totally relate with.
