The Delhi education department has issued a notification stating private schools suspend online and semi-online learning and teaching activities for this summer. However, they say that many schools continue with regular online classes without any break despite the announcement of summer vacation.
What the Delhi Government States In The Circular?
Therefore, the Delhi government has issued a circular after the issue came to light. The circular states that due to the Covid-19 upsurge, the Delhi government issued this order. It states to reschedule summer vacation starting from April 20 to June 9 in Delhi.
Moreover, the government issued another order stating to suspend online as well as semi-online teaching in all the schools of Delhi. The schools can carry out their special activities related to summer holidays without calling students physically to schools.
The circular also says that the teacher conducting online classes needed a much-deserved break. Also, it will break the monotony of studies and helps in developing and/or pursuing new hobbies and skills.
The circular states “In the present circumstances due to Covid-19 and the context explained above, it is all the more important that the intent of summer vacation is realized not just in letter but in spirit too.”
