Russia is going to prove its dominance over Ukraine, and a major development towards the ongoing war is all set to be seen. Russian President Vladimir Putin is going to announce the annexation of four major Ukraine regions, today.

The annexation will be formalised at a ceremony on Friday where the Russian President is envisioned to deliver a major speech.
“I order the recognition of the state sovereignty and independence of the regions of Zaporizhzhia and Kherson, located in southern Ukraine”, decrees quoted Putin saying.

Volodymyr Zelensky, Ukraine’ President has decided to give a convincing response regarding the annexation and has summoned the country’s defence and security heads for an urgent meeting, on Friday. War hit Ukraine has reached the West to impose more sanctions on Russia and has requested more weapon supplies to defend and reclaim the territories.
Putin’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov said the President would sign accession documents in an ornate Kremlin hall, and give a speech. A pop concert is planned on Red Square. The ceremony comes eight years after Russia seized Crimea from Ukraine following an invasion and a similar vote.”
As per media reports, Antony Blinken, US Secretary of State Attorney, on Thursday, asserted Russia’s annexation of Ukraine was an illegal act under International laws. He resembled the acts as a ‘land grab’, and said Moscow’s annexation will never be recognised by the US.
“The Kremlin’s sham referenda are a futile effort to mask what amounts to a further attempt at a land grab in Ukraine”, quoted Blinken saying.
On the matter, US President Joe Biden said, “the United States will never, never, never recognize Russia’s claims on Ukraine sovereign territory”.
“Any decision to proceed with the annexation of Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions of Ukraine would have no legal value and deserves to be condemned”, asserted Antonio Guterres, Secretary-General, to Reuters.
These four, to be annexed regions of Ukraine, form a major corridor between these two counties. This also includes the Crimean peninsula, which was annexed in 2014. These provinces are calculated as 20 per cent of complete Ukraine.
