Pusarla Venkata Sindhu aka PV Sindhu, the star badminton player of India has won her first ever Singapore Open title. Double Olympic medalist Sindhu lifted the Singapore Open trophy by defeating Wang Zhi Yi from China on Sunday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to his Twitter handle to congratulate Sindhu on her historic win. ”I congratulate @Pvsindhu1on winning her first ever Singapore Open title. She has yet again demonstrated her exceptional sporting talent and achieved success. It is a proud moment for the country and will also give inspiration to upcoming players.

PV Sindhu also took it to her Twitter handle and posted regarding her historic win. In the interesting match, she got ahead of her errors and emerged as the winner.
