A roof of Gurgaon apartment in Sector 109 collapsed last night and one person has been killed and some are trapped. The 18 Floor Chintels Paradisco housing apartment observed the accident where the living room of 6th floor collapsed first. This triggered the collapse of floors under it as reported by Press Trust of India.
Nishant Yadav, Deputy Commissioner of Gurgaon has said that one couple Mr and Mrs Srivastava are stuck in the rubble. The leg of M Srivastava is stuck and he has been given treatment as the team is pulling out his leg. He said that we are unable to find Mrs. Srivastava and she might be dead due to the accident.
A special team of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) is working no-stop to find trapped people and to rescue them. The rescue team has installed ladder to reach upper floors of the residential apartment to find people.

Kaushal Kumar, a resident of the housing complex told ANI that drawing room of the first floor collapsed till the first floor. He also told that the accident happened in the Tower D of the Gurgaon apartment.
Chief Minister of Haryana Manohar Lal has tweeted that he is personally monitoring the situation. His tweet said, “Administrative officials, along with SDRF and NDRF teams are busy in the rescue and relief work after the unfortunate collapse of the apartment roof at the Paradiso Housing Complex in Gurugram. I am personally monitoring the situation and I pray for everyone’s safety.”
The housing complex was built in 2018 and had three towers. The management blamed the disaster on negligence during the repair. The incident happened around 7 PM in Sector 109 of Gurgaon. An FIR has been filed against Ashok Saloman, developer of Chintels Paradiso housing complex. The identity of woman who has died in the accident has not been revealed yet.
