Rumors Of CBSE Cancelling Class 10th Board Exams Do The Rounds, Board Issues Notice

Since yesterday the rumors and speculations of CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Examination) canceling the class 10th board exams are doing the round. This started when CBSE’s secretary Anurag Tripathi gave a statement about the exam.

“As the minor subjects of Class 10 Board exams were pending, it can be canceled”, said Tripathi. Earlier in its press release, CBSE said that the exams are postponed. All the board examinations that were to be held between 19.03.2020 to 31.03.2020 were then postponed. However, since the condition was not getting on track many voices came for canceling of examinations.

Delhi Education Minister Manish Sisodia advised CBSE to follow the internal assessment method as is done for class 9th and 11th students. Amidst all this, the ‘cancelation’ statement from Secretary gave the bone to the rumors. Now, CBSE on Wednesday issued a statement.

Recently there has been a lot of speculation regarding 10th CBSE Board exams. It is reiterated that the board’s decision to take board exams for 29 subjects of class 10 and 12, stands the same as mentioned in circular dated 1.4.20“, said CBSE. This means that the board sticks to conducting the exam.
