The Russian flag and Anthem have been banned from the next two Olympics and sporting events in the coming four years by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA). The ban comes after WADA investigators and International Olympic Committee (IOC) investigated that the Russian authorities had tampered with a Moscow laboratory database to hide several potential doping cases.

To note, Russian Athletes can still participate in the upcoming Olympics and world sports events, without representing Russia. As of now, Russia has 21 days to appeal against the ban which it has hinted to opt for.
